Rob, I totally agree. If anyone in this country is unaware that we are politically, financially and socially beholden to big business, and that our tax policies and social programs pander to big business, they are willfully blind.

Would you describe yourself more as progressive, alternative, grunge, New Edge, or something else entirely like a Shaper or Mechanist (if one has read Schismatrix by Bruce Sterling)???

There used to be a group by the name of betapunks who did a really-cheap movie but no, I haven't heard about them in years.

The Supreme Court of Tennessee disbarred EDWARD A. SLAVIN, JR for engaging in misrepresentation and deceit to the courts and his clients; failing to preserve client property; charging excessive fees; violating court orders; demonstrating incompetence and lack of diligence; and abusing the legal process by habitually violating the Tennessee rules of professional conduct with regard to harassment and intimidation of officers of the court and opposing counsel and the filing of abusive, insulting, untrue, and unprofessional statements regarding judges, litigants, and opposing counsel.

ED SLAVIN has repeatedly engaged in the illegal, unlicensed practice of law since his disbarment in 2007, giving inaccurate, false and misleading legal advice to the public, his employer GLOBAL WRAP LLC, and others - most recently being found guilty in Federal District Court of tortious interference in the bankruptcy proceedings of a newspaper publisher and being held civilly liable to that company for nearly $60,000 of legal fees.

Since his disbarment, ED SLAVIN has and continues to solicit parents of children with learning disorders - representing himself as a "lay advocate" - ostensibly to file frivolous lawsuits on their behalf; in violation of Florida law. The weakest among us deserve protection from the loathsome, abusive likes of a fraud, cheat, liar and deadbeat like EDWARD ADELBERT SLAVIN, JR.

Lesson learned: The presence of Girls Gone Wild cameramen means women automatically consent to being assaulted, filmed, and having that footage sold as part of porn videos! Have fun out there guys!

Both candidates are excellent speakers and seem to be on the side of the angels.

Right now, Aronberg is my choice, mainly because he says he wants to be the AG and does not aim for higher office, so will not be kept from doing the right thing because of "politics." But I must point out that he invoked "Butterworth" more than Gelber invoked his own wife. Apparently Butterworth was a good AG, but for those of us new to Florida politics, it was very repetitive.

Delegate comment and observation: Mr. Gelber and his groupies paraded around during the entire FDP Conference like a bunch Moonies. Arrogance would be the best word to describe Dan’s weekend campaign. Unless one had ON one of his T-shirts, he would not make eye contact with you, nor would he give you the time of day…He seemed to have his head in the clouds all the time….Aronberg, on the other hand, in a very casual and polite manner made every effort to engage and greet everyone in a very open, honest and friendly manner.. Aronberg wants to be Attorney General,,, not like his opponent who only wants the AG job so he can advance on to another State or Federal elected office. My support is for Dave Aronberg,, our next Attorney General of Florida****Maybe Dan can drop out of the AG race, and run for Congressman Wexler’s open seat come this Nov 2010, just a suggestion…..
